In Ayurveda, TB is understood as Rajayakshma, a condition of progressive tissue depletion (Dhatu Kshaya) and weakened Ojas (immunity).
🌿 Key Concepts
- Tridosha imbalance (Vata -Pitta-Kapha involvement)
- Vata dominance → tissue wasting, dryness
- Pitta involvement → fever, inflammation
- Kapha involvement → cough, mucus accumulation

Ayurveda highlights lifestyle and dietary factors as major contributors:
- Ativyayama – Overexertion beyond capacity
